Restaurant Week

This past week was "Restaurant Week" in Amsterdam. Participating restaurants had a 25E "surprise" 3-course dinner. These included Fifteen (a Jamie Oliver restaurant) and CTaste (where you eat in the dark and are served by blind servers). Our friend Kim, from Arizona, was in Amsterdam for work so we decided to have a girls' night out and take advantage of this. Fifteen and CTaste were booked, so Kim and I opted for a Catalonian restaurant called Gala. The food was served tapas style, so we had way more than three courses.

toasted olives, gazpacho, seafood layers

potatoes with sauce, tortilla (like a quiche), calamari

lamb, Catalan (with lemon) creme brulee
