Tonight we celebrated Valentijgersdag at Gaucho's Argentine Steakhouse. They served up hearty cuts of tasty beef, barely licked by the flames (even at 'medium'). The house wines were absolutely fabulous (White - Sauvignon Blanc/Chenin Blanc blend and Red - Malbec/Sangiovese blend). Giant spears of grilled asparagus in garlic sauce were delicious. We passed on the dessert fondue (Chocolade, Chocolade, Chocolade instead which was acceptable...though Amelie loved here first taste of Choco), but maybe next time.
The girls were nearly angelic during our meal, which was a relief with our babysitterless status. Liliane chowed down a decent portion of pasta, and then demanded bites of chocolate cake, ice cream, and mousse without considering the intake needs of her parents. But here she is at the end of the meal--still in here seat and happy--so sacrifices must be made I suppose.
