Our Samplings of Dutch Cuisine
- Erwtensoep. This is a split pea soup, but with both sausage and bacon. It is supposed to be so thick that you can stand a spoon up in it. We had it, I don't think the spoon would have stayed standing, but it was quite yummy. Perfect for a blustery day!
- Koffiemelk. This is a sort of evaporated milk that the Dutch commonly add to coffee. It's very thick and must be stirred. It is good, but I prefer regular mlk with my coffee.
